A pandemic giveaway
In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic rendered many in-person student engagement activities unsafe. To address this, Dominican University sought an alternative to traditional giveaways that could reach students learning from home while boosting social media presence to promote online events and resources.
We developed a visual identity centered around a set of playful icons that embodied school spirit and referenced the university's culture and history.
These icons were integrated into various giveaways using a collage layout, allowing students to create a scrapbook of their Dominican University experience with these stickers, both physically and digitally, many of which were transformed into GIFs.
The same illustrative style was applied to giveaways such as tote bags, phone cases, and sticker sets. These products were designed with the consideration that they needed to be easily mailable, ensuring that the giveaways could be distributed to students regardless of their location.
